Fresh Harvest expands line in Walgreens
NEW YORK Fresh Harvest, a developer and marketer of natural and organic products, is continuing to expand in Walgreens with its Wings of Nature snack bars in the Philadelphia region, the company announced.
Fresh Harvest said that its natural and organic products will be available in approximately 90 stores, with placement slated to be up front at the checkout beginning this month.
“This is a great opportunity to expand throughout Walgreens and to increase our retail locations as well as our distribution area,” stated Michael Friedman, Fresh Harvest’s CEO. “We are actively working toward a marketing program targeted to customers to increase our overall sales and distribution. We are extremely focused on building loyal customers as we continue to demonstrate that our strategy is working while building long-term value for our shareholders.”
Breyers launches new YoCrunch fruit parfait
BOULDER, Colo. Breyers is expanding its YoCrunch brand with a new delectable offering.
New YoCrunch fruit parfait provides consumers with a layered fruit, yogurt and granola parfait at just 120 calories per serving. It is available in three classic fruit flavors — strawberry, blueberry and peach — at a suggested retail price of $2.89 for each four-pack container.

Unilever states sustainability goals for paper packaging
NEW YORK Unilever is committing to its environmental sustainability by sourcing 75% of its paper and board packaging from sustainably managed forests or from recycled material by 2015, rising to 100% by 2020.
Marc Engel, Unilever’s chief procurement officer, said: “As a leading consumer goods company, we buy considerable quantities of paper and board for packaging to ensure our products are protected and transported safely. As such it is important that we promote sustainable forestry practices and help combat deforestation and climate change through the responsible sourcing of these materials.”
Unilever is a founding member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, which has over 160 members, including packaging users, producers and retailers.
