Breyers launches new YoCrunch fruit parfait

BOULDER, Colo. Breyers is expanding its YoCrunch brand with a new delectable offering.

New YoCrunch fruit parfait provides consumers with a layered fruit, yogurt and granola parfait at just 120 calories per serving. It is available in three classic fruit flavors — strawberry, blueberry and peach — at a suggested retail price of $2.89 for each four-pack container.

“We are thrilled to introduce another innovation in the yogurt category with the arrival of YoCrunch fruit parfait,” said Jim Nolan, Breyers CEO. “McDonald’s, Panera Bread and others have popularized these healthy and great-tasting products, and now the YoCrunch brand is making it possible for the consumer to enjoy this nutritious trend in the convenience of their home.”

Dr Pepper (temporarily) trades corn syrup for sugar

NEW YORK Dr Pepper is temporarily changing its formula, but not its taste.

The Dr Pepper Snapple Group announced it would substitute high fructose corn syrup in its iconic Dr Pepper soft drink with sugar in honor of the beverage’s 125th anniversary.

Cans of Dr Pepper also will feature throwback designs as a nod to the soda’s beginnings.

P&G completes Ambi Pur acquisition

CINCINNATI Procter & Gamble has completed its acquisition of the Ambi Pur brand from Sara Lee for euro 320 million ($401.2 million), the company announced Monday.

Ambi Pur is a leading global air care brand with presence in 80 countries, and also has several toilet care products, with strong presence in Western Europe and Asia.

“We are pleased we have closed the deal and are excited that we can now move on to integrate the Ambi Pur business, ” said David Taylor, P&G group president, global home care. “The acquisition of Ambi Pur strengthens P&G’s global leadership in home care, and specifically, air care by extending our reach to serve more consumers in more parts of the world more completely.”
