CHICAGO — IRI announced Tuesday that it will begin providing supply chain services to Albertsons, the second largest grocery chain in the United States, in addition to being its preferred partner for point-of-sale data, consumer panel insights and strategic growth initiatives to support joint business collaboration.
ITASCA, Ill. — Albertsons’ Jewel-Osco banner is bringing a new service to its Chicago customers. The chain will roll e-commerce through its website on out on Nov. 7, allowing customers to shop online for groceries that they can pick up or have delivered.
“This gives people another option when shopping for groceries,” Jewel-Osco president Doug Cygan said. “The Jewel-Osco e-commerce department allows for the company to come full circle as we began delivering tea in 1899.”
BOISE, Idaho — All of Albertsons’ banner stores are now equipped to let customers pay for their purchases with Apple Pay. The mobile payment solution has been available at Albertsons’ Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Acme, Star Market, Haggen and United banners, and rolled out Monday to Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Randalls and Carrs locations.
