CARSON, Calif. — Beauty retailer Ulta Beauty has teamed up with Dermalogica to offer the new Power Resurfacing Peel exfoliation treatment that is customized to each person’s skin conditions.

Dermalogica is the exclusive professional skin care brand at Ulta offering professional skin treatments. The Power Resurfacing Peel joins the current menu of skin treatments, which includes 20-minute targeted MicroZone treatment and 60-minute full facial treatments.

The benefits of Power Resurfacing Peel include improving cell-turnover and collagen production, decreasing surface roughness, reducing breakouts and fine lines, and fading hyperpigmentation. Power Resurfacing Peel requires 30 minutes and delivers immediate results with no downtime for recovery, according to Dermalogica.

While there is no downtime, Dermalogica recommends that clients adhere to the post-treatment at-home care instructions as provided by their professional skin therapist to achieve optimal results. Clients are recommended to use Power Resurfacing Peel After Care Kit, which contains a one-week supply of UltraCalming Cleanser, UltraCalming Mist, UltraCalming Serum Concentrate, Daily Microfoliant and Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50.

Dermalogica's Power Resurfacing Peel will be available at Ulta Beauty locations for $40 per treatment session, and $90 (a $120 value) for a series of three treatments, starting in August 2014. Receive a complimentary Power Resurfacing Peel After Care Kit (a $25 value) with the purchase of a three treatment series.

Walgreens Charity Classic November golf event to benefit three south Florida charities

BY Michael Johnsen

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — The Walgreens Charity Classic, presented by the Seagate Country Club, is set for Nov. 6 to 9, 2014 in Delray Beach, the Country Club announced Friday. The Charity Classic will showcase the talents of 48 former LPGA Tour stars now playing the Legends Tour, the official senior tour of the LPGA. The four-day event will also raise funds for three area charities: The Dan Marino Foundation, Achievement Centers for Children & Families and Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse.

“We are excited to bring world-class golf to Delray Beach and to help these great charities in doing so,” stated Roger Lemke, district manager for Walgreens. “All ticket proceeds will support our charity partners. We will begin selling tournament tickets in our stores on Sept. 15. Customers can save $5 off gate pricing by purchasing in advance at Walgreens.”

Active members of the Legends Tour include a dozen Hall of Famers, including Nancy Lopez, Pat Bradley and Beth Daniel, as well as LPGA Tour standouts Rosie Jones, Jan Stephenson and Meg Mallon. Five-time Legends Tour champion Nancy Scranton of St. Augustine, Fla. won the 2013 Walgreens Charity Championship at the Villages and plans to defend her title at Seagate in November.

Tournament rounds will be held at the Seagate Country Club on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9. Donations for the charity partners will be accepted at the gate both days. Information and representatives from each charity will be on site to increase awareness of the programs and the services they provide.

Following final-round action on Sunday, Lemke and his Walgreens team will present each charity with a check on the 18th green, representing funds raised by the event. “We will crown the tournament champion and celebrate the continued work of the DMF, ACCF, and AVDA,” Lemke said.

“The Dan Marino Foundation shares a common pride with Walgreen’s in helping young people with special needs fulfill their dreams. We are so appreciative of their including us as a beneficiary of this exciting LPGA event,” commented Mary Partin, CEO, the Dan Marino Foundation. For over 22 years, the Foundation has served individuals with disabilities in South Florida through therapies, research, education and employment, and raised more than $47 million to create unique and impactful initiatives in the community.

ACCF is a community-based organization dedicated to serving low-income children and families. ACCF’s mission is to ensure school readiness, provide skill-building opportunities, promote academic achievement, and support healthy lifestyles.

“For the Achievement Centers, it is quite an honor to be one of the charity partners with the LPGA for this prestigious golf tournament,” remarked CEO Stephanie Seibel. “We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity afforded not only to the greater Delray Beach area through this fantastic event, but to our agency which serves our area’s most vulnerable community members.”

AVDA provides a Community of Hope through a state-certified domestic violence center that offers a comprehensive array of services for all victims of domestic violence, including 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency and transitional housing, advocacy, counseling, and support to help them live violence-free and self-sufficient lives. “We are pleased and honored to have been selected as one of the charity partners with the LPGA Legends,” added Pam O’Brien, president and CEO. “AVDA is grateful for the opportunity to raise awareness about domestic abuse.”
