Squatch targets bacon lovers with new snacks

MINONG, Wis. — Consumers who relentlessly crave bacon are about to see a new temptation in the snack aisle. 

Squatch is launching two new bacon snack innovations: Loaded Snack Sticks with Bacon & Cheddar, and Jack Link's Small Batch Maple Bacon Jerky No. 10.

"Our new bacon varieties add to the Link family's long history of leadership in the meat snack category with a popular flavor people just can't get enough of," said Mike Seepersaud, director of product marketing, Jack Link's. 

Squatch's Loaded Snack Sticks with Bacon & Cheddar combines two favorite foods to create a category trailblazing treat unlike any other – "loaded" with real bacon and cheddar cheese in every bite. Bacon & Cheddar joins a lineup of Original, Hot and Mild snack sticks, available in two sizes: 1 ounce and 2.2 ounces. Loaded with Bacon & Cheddar sticks are at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $1.99.

Small Batch Maple Bacon Jerky No. 10 brings together the old and the new to create a delicious and innovative high protein snack. Portable and available in a convenient, easy-to-open 2.25 ounce package, Small Batch joins a lineup that includes Hickory Bacon Jerky No. 9 and handcrafted thick slices of premium beef in three flavors: Original No. 11, Peppered No. 15, and Teriyaki No. 17. Jack Link's Small Batch Maple Bacon Jerky No. 10 is available now at retail locations across the country for a suggested retail price of $5.99.

Jelmar rebranding popular CLR product line

CHICAGO — The manufacturer of some of the most popular household cleaning products in the United States is rebranding one of its leading product lines.

Jelmar, the maker of CLR and Tarn-X, is overhauling its CLR line to better connect with consumers through redesigned packaging that fully showcases the product's function and better communicates Jelmar's brand purpose.

Updated packaging will aim to highlight the company's dedication to creating environmentally friendly formulas in partnership with the EPA. In addition, all products will feature a "Women-Owned" logo, spotlighting Jelmar's status as a woman-owned and operated business.

"CLR is a brand with a strong history and a loyal consumer base," said Alison Gutterman, CEO and president of Jelmar. "But we felt it was time to show consumers what the company behind the cleaning products stands for—Jelmar is all about family, preserving the environment and empowering women. We wanted our treasured customers to know that not only are they investing in products that work, but also a company that reflects and shares their goals and beliefs as well."

Jelmar says it is implementing the packaging update across the products in the CLR line, including CLR Calcium, Lime & Rust Remover, CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner, CLR Mold & Mildew Stain Remover and CLR Septic System Treatment. The updated packaging is hitting store shelves now.
