Sparkling Ice expands portfolio with more tea

SEATTLE — Sparkling Ice, part of the Talking Rain Beverage Co. portfolio of products, announced an extension to its line of sparkling ice tea beverages. Consumers can expect to see raspberry tea, lemon tea and peach tea on retail shelves. 
 
With the introduction of these three new flavors, consumers now have an alternative to sugar-laden teas that are currently on the market, the company said. 
 
"As we continue to develop exciting new flavors and line extensions for Sparkling ICE, customer satisfaction remains a top priority," said Kevin Klock, president and CEO of Talking Rain Beverage Co. "Consumers are searching for refreshing beverage alternatives, and we noticed a largely untapped and growing category, which presented Sparkling ICE beverages with the opportunity to deliver a line of zero calorie sparkling teas."
 
The Sparkling Ice Tea collection is currently available in 10 test markets across the country; a national roll out is planned by January 2015.

Pom Wonderful announces new ad campaign

LOS ANGELES — Pom Wonderful, a producer of refrigerated juices, is celebrating the joys of pomegranate season with a new ad campaign. The company will return to television with a "Crazy Healthy" commercial campaign this month. The four commercials will focus on the antioxidant power of premium pomegranate juice and will feature people in everyday situations being protected by a number of radical-fighting characters.
 
“Consumers love the sweet burst of flavor and versatility of our products,” said Dahlia Reinkopf, senior director of marketing, POM Wonderful. “'Our ‘Crazy Healthy’ TV campaign is timed perfectly with the launch of POM season to remind people about the antioxidant power of pomegranates. The goal of our campaign is to inspire consumers to get crazy healthy with our premium 100% Pomegranate Juice and seasonal Wonderful variety pomegranates.”
 
Pom Wonderful products are available in the produce section at grocery, club and mass retailers.

Keurig, W.B. Mason partner for new K-Cups

WATERBURY, Vt. & BROCKTON, Mass. — Keurig Green Mountain and W.B. Mason have reached an agreement to offer W.B. Mason's Shazam coffee in K-Cup packs for the Keurig's line of brewing systems. Shazam will be the first brand to join the Keurig family from a Keurig authorized distributor, according to the companies.
 
“We’ve had a long, successful history with W.B. Mason as a Keurig Authorized Distributor,” said John Whoriskey, president, U.S. sales and marketing for Keurig. “By expanding our relationship and introducing Shazam coffee to office and hospitality channels, we’ll be able to provide even more variety and choice of beverages to customers across the country.”
 
The companies plan to launch the new K-Cup packs late this month, with varieties to include light, medium and dark roast blends. The product will be exclusive to W.B. Mason customers.
