Snapple marries Jelly Belly
FAIRFIELD, Calif. — Jelly Belly Candy has teamed up with Snapple for a new line of gourmet jelly beans. The Jelly Belly Snapple Juice Drinks line, which is made from real fruit juice and purees, and contains no artificial coloring, is available in five Snapple flavors: Fruit Punch, Mango Madness, Cranberry Raspberry, Pink Lemonade and Kiwi Strawberry.
The Snapple mix flavors hit store shelves this month in 3.1-oz. bags that will retail for $2.49 and are packaged in 12-count cases. A 1.65-oz. novelty Jelly Belly Snapple Bottle will be introduced in the fall. The bottle will retail for $2.99.
Odwalla introduces Super Protein Mango smoothie
HALF MOON BAY, Calif. — Odwalla has introduced a new smoothie to its protein beverages line.
New Super Protein Mango smoothie contains 20 g of soy protein, provides 50% of the daily value of calcium and 150% of the daily value of vitamins B12 and B6, Odwalla said. Each smoothie is packaged in a 12-oz. PlantBottle. The company rolled out its PlantBottle packaging in April.
“Mango flavored beverages are becoming increasingly popular yet we noticed a gap in the nondairy protein category,” Odwalla VP marketing Irma Shrivastava said. “By providing 20 g of soy protein and a creamy swirl of mango flavor in every bottle, Super Protein Mango is a fresh on-the-go beverage for health-conscious consumers who don’t want to compromise taste.”
Maker of Drank aligns with NPG PR
HOUSTON — The maker of relaxation beverage Drank has tapped NPG PR to handle public relations for the product.
With this new agreement, Innovative Beverage Group Holdings said NPG PR, a full-service public relations boutique based in Nashville, will handle all media relations, social media, event planning and branding for Drank.
