Sergeant’s Pet Care Products tackles oral health for dogs

BY Ryan Chavis

OMAHA, Neb. — Sergeant's Pet Care Products, a manufacturer of pet supplies, announced the new Sentry Petrodex Advanced Dental Care Calming Kit for dogs. The kit includes Triple Action Calming Toothpaste, a Dual-Ended Toothbrush and a Finger Toothbrush. The new kit will give pet owners a new hygiene regimen to help prevent oral disease from an early age, the company said.

Sentry Petrodex Calming Toothpaste has a berry poultry flavor complete with pheromone technology to assist with acceptance. The Dual-Ended Toothbrush includes both a large and small brush head for detail cleaning and is dishwasher safe. The Finger Toothbrush massages gums while removing plaque and food debris. The finger brush is an ideal tool to introduce a pet to tooth brushing for the first time, according to the company.

"Our new Sentry Petrodex Advanced Dental Care Calming Kit targets plaque and build up while helping to keep dogs calm while their teeth are brushed," said Caryn Stichler, VP of marketing at Sergeant's Pet Care Products. "Our Triple Action Toothpaste uses proven pheromone technology to not only calm dogs, but also to help assure them that they are safe."

Sergeant's Pet Care Products is part of Perrigo Co., a global manufacturer over-the-counter healthcare products.
