Sally Hershberger Professional Hair Care expands lineup

NEW YORK — Sally Hershberger Professional Hair Care has announced the launch of two new products: Plump Up and Major Body.

Plump Up is a heat-activated thickening mist for fuller style. The daily restorative thickening mist promises to provide hair with fullness and nourishment. According to the company, the formula improves the texture and condition of the hair the more you use it and is light enough to be layered with other products without leaving a heavy residue. The suggested retail price for Plump Up is $12.50, and it is available at Ulta locations nationwide, as well as Duane Reade and Ricky’s NYC locations.

Major Body is a dry volumizing hairspray with patented touch-activated technology that allows you to control, build and shape full-bodied style with your fingertips, the manufacturer stated. The water-free, quick-dry formula leaves hair flexible, without the crunchy texture, added weight or residue. The SRP is $12.50, and the product is available at Ulta locations nationwide and at Duane Reade.

Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal products now available at all Walmart stores

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Walmart is expanding the number of locations that carry Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal, the manufacturer has announced.

Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal products have been available in select Walmart stores for nearly two decades, but beginning this month, the all-natural, fragrance-free roll-on will be available in all 3,747 Walmart locations.

"This expansion with Walmart allows us to provide our customers with our easy-to-find natural deodorant without the sticker shock," stated Ted Alflen, CEO and founder of Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal. "Our goal has always been to provide effective products without harmful chemicals at consumer-conscious prices."

A percentage of Naturally Fresh Deodorant’s proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for the Cure, and all products are cruelty-free, the company said.

FX Wild Harvest introduces new hair care collection

NEW YORK — Hitting select mass retail locations in April is the new FX Wild Harvest Hydra Silk collection, which contains a blend of natural, wild ingredients harvested from different regions of the world to make hair shiny, thicker and fuller.

The new FX Wild Harvest Hydra Silk collection includes:

  • Hydra Silk drops: A lightweight smoothing and polishing hair serum that is designed to shine, condition and detangle dry, damaged hair. The formula is made with lotus flower extract to nourish hair follicles, while antioxidant vitamin E fortifies, heals and conditions hair; and

  • Hydra Silk shampoo and conditioner: A nutrient-rich shampoo that includes organic seaweed extract to hydrate and strengthen hair and scalp. The conditioner includes caviar extract, which is high in omega-3 fatty acids. The shampoo and conditioner are free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, surfactants and sodium.

The products, priced at $6.99 each, will be available at such retailers as Walgreens, Albertsons, CVS, Rite Aid and Walmart.
