Cape Cod launches new popcorn varieties
HYANNIS, Mass. — Cape Cod Potato Chips, a brand from Snyder’s-Lance, announced new Cape Cod Popcorn in Sea Salt and Kettle Corn varieties. The brand also is reviving its previously retired White Cheddar flavor. The new additions are ideal for consumers looking for a health-conscious alternative, the company said.
“We know that Cape Cod consumers love our better-for-you snacks that don’t compromise on taste, and they are going to love these new guilt-free popcorn varieties,” said Faith Atwood, marketing manager at Cape Cod Potato Chips. “We’re also very excited to let fans know that we’ve heard their requests to bring back our White Cheddar popcorn.”
The popcorn contains 40 calories per cup and is gluten-free. All three varieties will retail for $3.49.
Kind Healthy Snacks releases Strong & Kind snack bars
NEW YORK — Kind Healthy Snacks announced the release of Strong & Kind, the brand’s first snack line and movement bent on changing the way people view strength and kindness. Strong & Kind packs 10 g of natural protein and ingredients like whole almonds, seeds and legumes. Consumers will be able to pick from five flavors: Honey Smoked BBQ, Honey Mustard, Roasted Jalapeño, Hickory Smoked and Thai Sweet Chili.
“As a team, we found ourselves craving bold, savory flavored snacks, but were disappointed with the options available today as almost all of them are void of positive nutrition,” said Daniel Lubetzky, Founder and CEO of Kind. “We set out to fix that by crafting savory snacks that deliver on both health and taste. It took us years to crack the code and develop Strong & Kind. The new line delivers strong, bold flavors from nutritionally-rich ingredients that people can feel good about eating.”
Strong & Kind is gluten-free, non-GMO, contains low sodium and no SMG. The new line will be available at KindSnacks.com and at grocery stores nationwide beginning April 2014. The SRP is $1.79 per bar.
As part of the new product launch, the company said it is partnering with NBA star Kevin Durant in an effort to prove that the best way to show strength, it so choose kindness.
