Reckitt Benckiser completes tender for Adams Respiratory
CHESTER, N.J. Reckitt Benckiser on Thursday completed its previously announced cash tender offer for all outstanding shares of common stock of Adams Respiratory Therapeutics.
More than 34.6 million shares had been tendered and not withdrawn prior to the expiration of the offer—which expired Wednesday at midnight.
As the final step of the acquisition process, Reckitt Benckiser intends to consummate a merger in which remaining Adams stockholders will receive the same $60 in cash per share paid in the offer. Consummation of the merger is expected to occur on Jan. 29.
Following the merger, Adams will become an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Reckitt Benckiser.
FDA approves change in Claritin labeling
KENILWORTH, N.J. Schering-Plough on Tuesday announced that the Food and Drug Administration approved additional labeling for Claritin that emphasizes the allergy medicine is appropriate for use to help treat both indoor (perennial) and outdoor (seasonal) allergies.
“Schering-Plough is pleased that the FDA has approved the change to the Claritin label to help us to communicate to consumers that Claritin works hard to relieve both indoor and outdoor allergies,” stated John O’Mullane, vice president of research and development for Schering-Plough Consumer Health Care.
Forward Foods introduces Detour bar to alleviate stress
MINDEN, Nev. Forward Foods on Wednesday extended its Detour bar with the addition of the Detour Yoga Bars.
The new Yoga Bar, in blueberry and peach mango flavors, includes lemon balm to help alleviate stress and promote a sense of calm while supporting strong, flexible muscle development with 11 grams of protein.
