Prilosec OTC, Taste of the NFL partner to donate meals
CINCINNATI — The team behind Prilosec OTC announced Thursday that it is teaming with Taste of the NFL this football season to rally NFL fans to support their local food banks as they prepare for an epic Homegating season of food, fun and football. Prilosec OTC will donate 1 million meals to more than 30 food banks across the country over the course of the season.
“Family, food and football are three of my favorite things, and during the NFL season, Prilosec OTC gives me the freedom to enjoy my Homegating parties without worrying about my frequent heartburn,” comedian Larry the Cable Guy, Prilosec OTC spokesman, said. “This football season I’m proud to say that I’m teaming up with Prilosec OTC to fight more than heartburn — we’re fighting hunger, too.”
Procter & Gamble recruited two other frequent heartburn sufferers and NFL superstars — Nick Mangold of the New York Jets and DeMarcus Ware of the Denver Broncos — to encourage NFL fans to join them in the fight against hunger. During this NFL season, Mangold and Ware will represent Prilosec OTC in their communities, raising awareness of the issue for their local food banks.

According to Feeding America, every dollar donated by Taste of the NFL results in an average of eight meals for families struggling with hunger. Prilosec OTC will donate $125,000 to Taste of the NFL on Feb. 6, 2016, the company said.
NBTY hires seasoned Coca-Cola executive to lead global growth
RONKONKOMA, N.Y. — NBTY on Thursday named Kevin Warren president NBTY International.

In his new role, Warren will be responsible for the creation of targeted growth strategies for brands such as Solgar, Nature's Bounty and MET-Rx. He will drive the development of new business partnerships and oversee the maintenance of all vendor and affiliate relationships outside the Americas.
Warren is joining the company following a successful career at Coca-Cola, where he held a variety of international leadership positions and delivered significant top and bottom line growth. Most recently he served as region director for Russia, Middle East and Africa in the Bottling Investments Group. Prior to that role, he was president and general manager of Coca-Cola Enterprises Canada. Additionally, he held the position of president and general manager of CCE-United Kingdom. Under Warren's tenure, this business became the most profitable business unit in Coca-Cola Enterprises globally. Before joining Coca-Cola, Warren worked for The Walt Disney Company in the U.S. and various leisure and travel organizations in the U.K.
Warren will begin his new role effective Sept. 28 and will be based in the U.K.
