P&G to sponsor U.S. Olympic speed skater
DALLAS Procter & Gamble is sponsoring U.S. Olympic speed skater Allison Baver at the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Wilhelmina International announced on Monday.
Wilhelmina Sports, which is a division of Wilhelmina International, represents Baver.
Baver will be aligned with P&G beauty brands including CoverGirl, Olay, Olay Quench, Pantene, Secret and Venus, and will be fully integrated across numerous marketing channels, including advertising, public relations, in-store merchandising, mobile, digital and direct mail.
Baver is one of six athletes with whom P&G has announced marketing alliances for the 2010 Winter Olympics to date.
RoC salutes actress Cheryl Hines’ directorial debut
NEW YORK RoC skin care brand is honoring actress Cheryl Hines at the Hamptons Film Festival on Oct. 8 for her work on the film “Serious Moonlight.”
This marks the brand’s second consecutive partnership with the Hamptons Film Festival, and this year the brand is furthering its support of women in film by elevating the RoC “Gold Standard Award for Feature Female Director” to an official category of entry at the festival.
Hines, who will receive a $5,000 endowment for her next project, is best known for her role as Larry David’s wife on the HBO hit “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” “Serious Moonlight” marks her directorial debut.

L’Oreal USA opens new headquarters
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. L’Oreal USA announced on Wednesday the official opening of its new headquarters in Berkeley Heights, N.J. The new facility marks L’Oreal USA’s second corporate office; the first is located in New York City.
The new facility is home to more than 400 employees, and it occupies 156,000 sq. ft. covering four floors. It was developed as a high-performance “green” building incorporating energy-efficient and sustainable design criteria.
Some of the building’s highlights include high energy performance windows, giving 90% of the building’s interior access to natural daylight and views: heating, ventilation and air-conditioning and lighting systems designed to maximize their energy performance; water-conserving plumbing fixtures serving to reduce the building?s overall water use by 30%; use of regionally extracted materials and low emitting materials; and use of FSA-certified wood from renewable forests. In addition, during construction 75% of waste was diverted from the landfill.
