Perry’s Ice Cream relaunches Buffalo Bills Brownie Blitz

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Perry’s Ice Cream has relaunched an ice cream flavor that commemorates a National Football League team.

The Buffalo Bills Brownie Blitz ice cream, which is the official ice cream of the NFL team Buffalo Bills, originally was introduced in 2008. This year, the ice cream is getting a makeover to reflect the Bills new helmet design. The Buffalo Bills Brownie Blitz features premium French vanilla ice cream with laces of fudge and brownie pieces, Perry’s Ice Cream said.

Buffalo Bills Brownie Blitz is available at at retail locations across Western New York, including Tops Markets, Shurfine Markets, Wegmans, Wilson Farms and other regional supermarkets.

Ehrmann launches new yogurt line

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — Ehrmann has introduced a line of all-natural Bavarian low-fat yogurt.

Packaged in 5.3-oz. cups that feature a blend of creamy yogurt and real fruit, each variety of yogurt, including blackberry-pomegranate, blueberry, cherry, peach and strawberry flavors, contains 150 calories or less, 7 g of protein per serving with only 1.5 g of total fat, Ehrmann said.

Ehrmann said that its all-natural Bavarian low-fat yogurt will be available at such retailers as Shaw’s, Tops and more.

Doritos taps The Lonely Island for Super Bowl promo

PLANO, Texas — Doritos has kicked off its Crash the Super Bowl program with help from singing comedy trio The Lonely Island.

The program features a contest that encourages consumers to create a Super Bowl advertising spot for Doritos and will compete against both The Lonely Island and other consumers. If the ad scores No. 1 on the USA Today Ad Meter, its creator will win a $1 million bonus; however, if The Lonely Island Doritos ad scores No. 1 on the USA Today Ad Meter, Doritos will donate $1 million to the group’s charity of choice.

The Super Bowl XLVI broadcast is set for Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, on NBC.
