Old Spice introduces ‘Swaggerize Your Wallet’ competition
CINCINNATI Old Spice kicks off summer with the launch of their “Swaggerize Your Wallet” competition, giving contestants the unique opportunity to win money this summer for best displays of individual swagger style.
The competition will consist of weekly challenges posted between now and Aug. 13, 2009 on the Old Spice Web site. Every week one winner will be announced and awarded varying sums of prize money. All of the challenges will somehow incorporate the brand’s popular Swagger logo and are sure to call for creativity and sense of humor.
“While we realize times are tough, summer is all about good times and we wanted to give our loyal fans the opportunity to win some extra cash to fund their fun – whether that means grilling enough burgers to feed the entire neighborhood, upgrading to behind home-plate seats at their favorite team’s baseball game or spending the night out on the town,” said James Moorhead, Old Spice brand manager. “After all, nothing gives a person more Swagger than a fat wallet, and that’s what the ‘Swaggerize Your Wallet’ competition is all about.”
The first set of competition challenges has included making a cake in the shape of the swagger logo and holding up a swagger sign at a televised game, among others.

Scandle launches affiliate program for retailers
DALLAS Scandle, a maker of massage candles and spa products, has launched an affiliate that enables retailers to make money selling Scandle products utilizing their existing online traffic.
Under The Scandle Affiliate Program, members can sign up and obtain a unique URL for the affiliate program at http://abodycandle.com/affiliate.php. Once their URL is embedded on their site and a visitor clicks through to purchase products at Scandle’s Web site, Scandle will automatically track the sale and provide affiliate member with 10% commission on that sale. Commissions will be paid on a monthly basis. Members can track their account balances and statistics at any time through an online account management portal.

Physicians Formula receives NASDAQ deficiency letter
AZUSA, Calif. Physicians Formula has received a NASDAQ deficiency letter regarding NASDAQ’s independent director requirement for continued listing.
As previously announced, Jeff Berry was appointed interim CFO, effective May 29. In conjunction with assuming that role, Berry resigned from the company’s board of directors and from all of the committees of the board on which he served because, as an executive officer of the company, he is no longer an independent director.
The beauty company has until Nov. 25 to regain compliance with NASDAQ’s independent director and audit committee requirements. The company stated that it is currently evaluating candidates and intends to fill the vacancy on the board and the audit committee before the deadline.
