Old Mother Hubbard releases new dog treats

TEWKSBURY, Mass. Old Mother Hubbard now is offering 15 new varieties of natural dog snacks.

All Old Mother Hubbard snacks are made with natural, nutrient-rich ingredients, such as chicken, cheddar cheese, apples, carrots, sweet potatoes and oatmeal, without any artificial colors or flavors. And each crunchy snack is slowly oven-baked to preserve the mouth-watering flavors that dogs love to catch, chew and eat.

 

Old Mother Hubbard now offers:

  • Two new lines of soft and chewy snacks, which includes three new soft and chewy flavors;
  • Four new crunch varieties for its Mother’s Solutions line;
  • PB hearts;
  • Fish’NWaves;
  • Liv’R’Wedges; and
  • Wheat-free Chick’N’Apples.

Old Mother Hubbard also makes snacks that target specific health issues:

  • Hip and joint;
  • Skin and coat;
  • Tartar control;
  • Minty fresh breath; and
  • Low fat.

 

Old Mother Hubbard natural dog snacks also now sport an updated look, so that dogs and their owners can take a peek at the delicious snacks right inside the bag through its characteristic see-through window.

Rx plan from Walmart, Humana arrives

BENTONVILLE, Ark. Shortly after Walmart and Humana announced that they would offer a Medicare Part D prescription drug program to customers, signage in Walmart stores popped up.

 

Co-branded as the Humana Walmart-Preferred Rx Plan, the program involves a $14.80 monthly premium that is less than half the weighted 2010 national average, generic drug co-payments as low as $2 at Walmart pharmacies and no co-payments for select generics filled via Humana’s RightSource home-delivery service. Humana and Walmart said the program has the potential to save Medicare Part D enrollees as much as $450 annually.

Hartz keeps dogs, owners happy with new biscuits

SECAUCUS, N.J. Hartz is looking to keep tails wagging with a new addition to its Crunch ‘n Clean line of dog biscuits.

New Hartz Crunch ‘n Clean Savory Flavors dog biscuits are available in three salivating flavors — braised beef, rotisserie chicken and smokehouse bacon — and contain breath-freshening crystals and DentaShield technology to prevent tartar buildup. The biscuits also include such important vitamins and minerals as iron, choline, zinc, vitamins B12 and D3, riboflavin, thiamin and niacin to promote overall health.

Hartz Crunch ‘n Clean Savory Flavors dog biscuits come in a 26-oz. package for a suggested retail price of $3.49, and are available at such retailers as Walmart, Target and Kroger.
