New Leaf expands distribution to Albertsons
OLD TAPPAN, N.J. A line of tea beverages is arriving at Albertsons stores in California and Nevada.
New Leaf’s beverage line, which includes 11 unique tea flavors, four lemonades and two diet iced teas, will be available at 248 Albertsons locations in the two states.
"We are very excited to offer the best-tasting teas and lemonades on the planet at all Albertsons in California and Nevada," said Eric Skae, New Leaf president and CEO. "Albertsons is one of the most recognized brands and one of the largest grocery chains in the United States. Our distribution with them in California and Nevada follows our aggressive plan to market to independent, regional and national retailers, and provides immediate access to consumers across both states. We know [that] when consumers try New Leaf they love the taste and come back for more."
Revolymer revs up the flavor in gum
ATLANTA Revolymer is launching a new brand of gum that is eco-friendly and has long-lasting flavor.
New Rev7 gum will be available in both peppermint and spearmint flavors, with additional flavors slated to launch next year. The gum, the company said, also can be readily removed from clothes using soap and water; and environment tests have shown that more than 50% of its chewing gum is removed by conventional street cleaning, and any gum washed into the drains will degrade into minerals, biodegradable products and inert materials.
"Revolymer is offering a premium product that will change the chewing gum industry significantly," said Chris Tamillo, Revolymer VP sales and marketing. "There is both an appetite for this new brand in the U.S. and a willingness to provide consumers with a product that is better for the environment but does not sacrifice quality."
The company is unveiling Rev7 at the National Association of Convenience Store Show.
IDC develops new packaging for Sunkist liquid protein
NEW YORK Sunkist has unveiled its newest way to deliver its liquid shots of protein.
Through a partnership with the International Dispensing Corp., the one-gallon, Multiserve SafePak stand-up pouch delivers protein shots without need for refrigeration and features the Answer, IDC’s patented, proprietary dispensing technology.
“The Sunkist pouch is a really cool, interactive package that consumers should enjoy,” said Greg Abbott, founder and chairman of IDC. “It is a bulk package, but it is also mobile. Each time you consume the product, you can roll up the pouch a bit more so that it becomes smaller with use. You can safely store it anywhere — in your car, office, backpack, fridge — without concern. At the end, you can squeeze out every last drop, eliminating waste, and when you finally dispose of the pouch you know you are burdening the environment with considerably less packaging material for the same amount of liquid.”
