My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream expands to non-dairy, vegan offerings

My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream will be hitting select retail stores shelves with a new line of non-dairy and vegan products. The Los Angeles-based company’s latest launch, My/Mo Mochi Cashew Cream Frozen Dessert items will include the flavors: strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and salted caramel.

The product is made with a scoop of frozen cashew cream, wrapped in rice dough and clocks in at just 100 calories per ball. Launching these new vegan and non-dairy offerings will allow a new set of consumers to enjoy this snack, the company said.

“The need for plant-based food has grown immensely in the last few years,” Craig Berger, CEO of My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream, said. “Our fans are continually requesting that we add vegan options to our line of mochi ice cream snacks, as many consumers look to limit their dairy intake. We’re thrilled to answer the call with these tasty offerings to satisfy their snack cravings.”

This new launch comes just on the heels of the company announcing their latest product with Mochi Bits. Further product information can be found on the company’s website.

Rice Krispies Treats adds two new permanent flavors

Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats is introducing two new permanent flavors, to the brand’s portfolio. The new additions, Birthday Cake and Cookies ‘n’ Cream were inspired by the most sought-after flavors of homemade treats on social media and will launch in retailers nationwide in January.

“We are so excited to announce these brand-new flavors,” Emily Minardi, associate marketing director of Rice Krispies Treats, said. “Every day presents a reason to celebrate, whether it’s a big occasion like a birthday or a little victory like completing a math test. With the new Birthday Cake and Cookies ‘n’ Creme flavors, you have delicious treats for celebrating that will bring big smiles to your whole family and give you even more to love.”

The Birthday Cake flavor features colorful rainbow sprinkles and a crème drizzle. Cookies ‘n’ Cream contains chocolate cookie crumbles and a crème coating. Both launches will be available in Rice Krispies Treats write-on wrappers to create custom messages of encouragement and love.

Special K introduces cereal made with probiotics

Kellogg’s is expanding its line of Special K products by introducing new, Special K Nourish Berries & Peaches with Probiotics. The cereal features peach-flavored flakes, a blend of blueberries, raspberries, peaches yogurt pieces and 12-g. of whole grains.

"Our goal is to empower women to feel confident in their food choices," Christie Crouch, director of marketing for Special K said. "We know digestive wellness is top of mind for many women, and it can be tough to sort through all the options out there. With new Special K Nourish Peaches & Berries with Probiotics, we're delivering the good bacteria, along with iron and vitamins, to women who are looking to fuel their day."

The Special K Nourish Berries & Peaches with Probiotics is the first cereal to contain live and active probiotic cultures, and without the need for refrigeration, provides consumers with good bacteria, the Battle Creek, Mich.-based company said.
