BY Antoinette Alexander

DALLAS — MopTop has announced the launch of two natural hair care lines — MopTop and FuzzyDuck — in Whole Foods supermarkets.

MopTop is a natural hair care line designed to help tame dry, frizzy, color/chemically treated hair without build-up, but with ease, leaving hair soft and curls defined. There are no silicones, waxes or sulfates in the product line and no alcohol in the styling products. There are four categories, including clarifying, shampoos, conditioners and stylers. The suggested retail prices range from $9.99 to $14.99.

The launch consists of 10 "frizz free" products that meet the company’s Premium Body Care Standards with the newest, Clarifying Rescue Treatment, being exclusive. Products are available in the stores’ Whole Body departments.

MopTop products are made in Texas and shipped from its warehouse to the United States and other countries.

PonyBun Hair Bun launches new colors for 2014

BY Antoinette Alexander

CHICAGO — PonyBun Products has broadened its portfolio with three new colors — denim, plum and silver — for the crochet version of its PonyBun hair accessory.

The patented 3-in-1 design consists of a ponytail holder attached to a hair bun cover along with an integrated comb. In seconds, a woman can make a ponytail, tuck her hairdo inside the bun cover, and snug it firmly in place with the comb.

"Our strategy is to offer colors that are fashionable, yet classic," stated Susan Michaud, president of PonyBun Products. "Pastels are going to be the rage in spring 2014. We chose denim and silver specifically to accessorize the pastel palette."

In addition, Pantone’s recent announcement of Radiant Orchid as the 2014 color of the year makes the Plum PonyBun positioned for many wardrobes. The Plum PonyBun can provide a complement to a Radiant Orchid wardrobe or an accent to a wardrobe using the purple palette as a highlight.

Emmi-Tech develops new ‘Nature’ toothpaste

BY Antoinette Alexander

LAS VEGAS — Emmi-Tech, the distributor of the Emmi-dent Ultrasound toothbrush, has unveiled a new gluten-free, fluoride-free and paraben-free toothpaste called Nature.

According to the company, the new Nature toothpaste creates nano-bubbles that are imploded by the ultrasound waves of the toothbrush to remove bacteria, plaque, tartar, small food scraps and stains.

The solution is ideal for people with sensitive teeth or gums, especially those having periodontal or gingival diseases. Patients who have had surgery and implants also can use it soon after surgery, cleaning their teeth and mouth after surgery without pain, the company stated.

Emmi-dent Nature Ultrasound Toothpaste is available at $7.99; others flavors are available at $5.99. The Emmi-dent 6 Ultrasound Toothbrush is available online at a suggested retail price of $189.
