Lance introduces campaign targeting on-the-run moms
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Sandwich cracker brand Lance has teamed up with lifestyle expert Colleen Burns to kick off the Mom on the Run Loves Lance campaign.
The fully integrated marketing campaign, which kicked off in mid-April and will run through June, will include a Facebook page and a microsite (MomsLoveLance.com), where consumers can access springtime fun tips, videos with Mom on the Run Burns and weekly parenting discussions.
“As a busy mom, I know that taking advantage of small windows of free time together requires a little planning and lot of creativity,” Burns said. "But, I know if I have a few good ideas in mind and some quick sensible snacks on hand, like Lance Sandwich Crackers, my boys [ages 6 to 16 years] and I are ready for fun at a moment’s notice."

Classic lemonade joins Honest Tea’s zero-calorie beverage line
BETHESDA, Md. — Honest Tea is adding another zero-calorie beverage to its lineup.
New zero-calorie, USDA-certified organic, caffeine-free classic lemonade is the first zero-calorie Honest Ade naturally sweetened with organic stevia, the company said. The new variety is the brand’s second zero-calorie offering.
"Most summertime drinks deliver short-term refreshment and long-term calories," said Seth Goldman, Honest Tea president and CEO. "Our classic lemonade provides the satisfying taste of fresh-squeezed lemons, and you won’t have to worry about squeezing into your swimsuit."
Honest Tea’s classic lemonade now is available at a suggested price of $1.79 at retail in New England and the mid-Atlantic, and soon will expand distribution to the West and East Coasts later in the year.

Food Network’s d’Arabian gives food advice at NACDS Annual Meeting
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Grand Ballroom at the Phoenician was packed with spouses for the keynote address from Food Networks’ Melissa d’Arabian, host of "Ten Dollar Dinners with Melissa d’Arabian."
D’Arabian filled in for Sandra Lee, host of "Semi-Homemade Cooking" and "Sandra’s Money Saving Meals," who withdrew from the speaking engagement due to personal reasons, Janet Loeffler, wife of H-E-B’s Bob Loeffler, shared with the audience.
The luncheon was sponsored by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare and included a gift of custom-made jewelry for attendees.
I'm sorry, but what century am I living in when I read about an event for spouses (codename wives)for a major event like this?
