GSK Consumer Healthcare announces organizational changes

BY Michael Johnsen

PITTSBURGH GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare last week announced organizational changes concerning three key senior leadership roles.

Roger Scarlett-Smith, president, GSK Consumer Healthcare North America will evolve his role to include interacting with key opinion leaders on regulatory and policy issues that impact the consumer healthcare industry. He also will be placing more of his focus on GSK’s long term growth strategy with emphasis on R&D, new product innovation, acquisitions and driving North American synergy across the Canadian and Puerto Rican businesses, GSK stated. He currently plays an active role and serves on the board for the Consumer Healthcare Products Association.

As a result of Scarlett-Smith’s role change, GSK has appointed Greg Bradley to the role of SVP sales and U.S. operations. In this role, Bradley will be responsible for leading GSK’s operating team, which is responsible for delivering the day to day P&L for the company.

Additionally, Clark Brown has been named VP for U.S. sales. Brown’s 24 year tenure with GSK has included several senior sales management positions including the last five years as VP field sales. In this new role, he will be responsible for building, executing, and delivering annual business plans for all U.S. customers as well as leading people development initiatives for the entire U.S. consumer sales team. Brown will continue to report to Bradley.
