Helen of Troy launches Bed Head Tigi hair accessories
NEW YORK Helen of Troy, whose products are sold to consumers by mass merchandisers, drug chains, warehouse clubs and grocery stores under licensed trademarks, has announced a new line of hair elastics, clips and headbands by Bed Head Tigi.
The new accessories include hair elastics in bright colors, animal prints or adorned with stud accents; Bed Head hair clips available in a variety of colors and styles; elastic headbands; bright, wide cloth headbands; and hard headbands in colorful, metallic or patent leather designs.
All of the Bed Head Tigi accessories are sold at Ulta. The suggested retail price ranges between $4.99 and $5.99.
Faith Hill works with Coty to develop, launch signature fragrance
NEW YORK Recording artist Faith Hill has partnered with Coty Inc. to develop and market her own debut fragrance slated to launch fall/winter 2009.
“I had no idea of how exciting and creative it would be to work not only with a great company like Coty, but with some of the leading perfumers in the world.” Hill said. “In one respect, putting out a fragrance is like releasing a new album‹you just hope that everyone will enjoy it.”
The new fragrance will be available at major retailers across North America. Marketing plans are currently in development and additional information is expected to be announced closer to the launch.
“Faith Hill defines all-American beauty,” said Bernd Beetz, chief executive officer of Coty Inc. “Her ability to juggle a widely successful career and family, while embodying grace, glamour and style, is an inspiration to women. L’Oreal Paris develops sulfate-free EverPure hair care line
NEW YORK L’Oreal Paris is rolling out for early 2009 its new EverPure line of sulfate-free color care hair products.
EverPure is free of harsh sulfates, surfactants and salts that can strip and dull color-treated hair. In place of harsh ingredients, EverPure features an Anti-Fade System of shampoos and conditioners. According to L’Oreal, testing shows color to last up to 32 washes.
For an aromatherapeutic and spa-like experience, the 100-percent vegan formulas are infused with rosemary, juniper and mint extracts.
The collection includes EverPure Moisture, Smooth or Volume formulas. The conditioners and masques feature both UVA and UVB filters to help protect hair from UV rays. For additional coverage, there’s also a UV Protect Spray that can be used on all hair types. Suggested retail prices range between $6.99 and $8.99.
