FiberChoice gets a makeover

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — Prestige Brands’ FiberChoice got a makeover in August, courtesy of design firm Little Big Brands. Each label features a different mix of photorealistic cascading fruits and vegetables based on the formula. Strong color-coding also anchors the bottom of the label and helps differentiate the SKUs.

GSK embraces gummy delivery format

CLIFTON, N.J. — GlaxoSmithKline launched Tums Chewy Delights, bringing to the iconic antacid brand a gummy delivery format. Tums Chewy Delights offers Tums Ultra strength heartburn relief in two new flavors: very cherry and smooth peppermint. One of the last new-format introductions from GlaxoSmithKline — Tums Smoothies — shared growth of 3.9% to $36.3 million in sales for the 52 weeks ended Aug. 10 across total U.S. multi-outlets, according to IRI.

P&G adds to Metamucil brand with MetaBiotic

NEW YORK — Procter & Gamble earlier this year added some heft to its Metamucil brand with a pair of line extensions that create a linear brand block. P&G launched MetaBiotic, a 2-in-1 probiotic supplement containing Bio-Active 12, which maintains digestive balance and promotes a healthy immune system, and Meta Health Bars, fiber bars containing psyllium fiber.
