Ellio’s dives into the frozen breadsticks category
Best known for its line of frozen pizzas, Ellio’s has decided to expand its product offerings by introducing a line of frozen breadsticks. The two new flavors — cheesy and parmesan and garlic — will be served on the Mount Laurel, N.J.-based company’s four-cornered crispy crust.
Ellio’s breadsticks are made with 100% real cheese and contain no artificial flavors or preservatives, the company said. Each product will come in rectangular shape and in one-inch wide breakable slices.
“The frozen food sector continues to grow year after year. We’re incredibly excited to expand Ellio’s presence in the frozen food aisle with the launch of Breadsticks in two varieties that both adults and kids will love,” Bill Whalen, executive vice president of Dr. Oetker USA, the parent company of Ellio’s Pizza said.
The breadsticks must be baked in a conventional or toaster oven for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and edges are slightly browned. Each box comes with 12 sticks, and they can currently be found in the freezer aisle in retailers such as Stop & Shop, Shoprite and Acme Markets.

Bertolli expands organic pasta sauce line, intros Alfredo flavors
Bertolli has expanded its signature pasta sauce offering by adding two new recipes to the lineup. The latest additions from the company, which is part of Mizkan Americas portfolio of brands, features two creamy, white sauces that are made from ingredients such as aged parmesan, fresh cream and savory garlic.
Joining the Mount Prospect, Ill.-based company’s already established line of red, organic pasta sauces are:
- Organic Creamy Alfredo is made with aged parmesan, fresh cream and incorporates organic Romano for a rich flavor; and
- Organic Garlic Alfredo features garlic, aromatic spices and various cheeses.
Both of the sauces are made with organic, non-GMO ingredients, such as cheese, cream, butter garlic and spices, the company said. Each of the products are available online and in select grocery and mass retailers nationwide for the suggested retail price of $3.99 for a 15-oz.-sized glass jar. Blue Diamond intros gourmet almonds line
Blue Diamond is adding a variety of flavors to its line of almonds created specifically for entertaining purposes. To create the line, almond skins are removed for a smooth texture and nutty crunch, then they are roasted, seasoned and cured with a blend of herbs and spices, the Sacramento, Calif.-based company said.
“Gourmet foods are an exciting new genre for Blue Diamond and this is an example of our dedication to food innovation,” Blue Diamond’s senior vice president, global consumer division, Raj Joshi said. “We were inspired by foodies and moments of celebration when developing this Gourmet line. People love finding new delicious foods and sharing them with friends and family. Blue Diamond’s crafted gourmet almonds are available in four different flavors — pink Himalayan salt, black truffle, garlic herb and rosemary and sea salt.
