Cetaphil expands facial care offerings with 7 new products

FORT WORTH, Texas — Galderma Laboratories’ Ceptahil brand is growing its line of facial care products, the company announced Wednesday. Cetaphil has launched seven new products aimed at addressing such key areas as hydration, effective makeup removal and treating redness-prone skin. 
 
Dermatologist and Cetaphil spokesperson Dr. Dendy Engelman said, “I'm very excited about Cetaphil's new range of products because not only is it a brand I trust and have been recommending for years, but the new products address some of the most common skin concerns I come across in my practice.”
 
The new products are Cetaphil Daily Hydrating Lotion, Cetaphil Rich Hydrating Night Cream, Cetaphil Gentle Makeup Removing Wipes, Cetaphil Gentle Makeup Remover, Cetaphil Foaming Face Wash, Cetaphil Redness Relieving Daily Facial Moisturizer and Cetaphil Redness Relieving Night Moisturizer. The hydrating lotions contain hyaluronic acid to help retain moisture, and the makeup removing wipes are formulated with aloe vera, green tea and chamomile. The makeup remover is an oil-free liquid, and the daily moisturizer is tinted and contains SPF 20 to reduce redness appearance and even skin tone.

The new products are currently available at major retail, drug and discount stores nationwide, the company said.

NY Post: Walgreens’ plan could require FTC to rule on Rite Aid merger within 30 days

DEERFIELD, Ill. — Walgreens Boots Alliance could soon declare it has “certified compliance” in its Rite Aid merger, forcing the U.S. Federal Trade Commission to vote on the proposed transaction in 30 days, reported The New York Post.

“The declaration would mean that, in Walgreens’s opinion, it has given regulators substantially all the information they need to make a decision,” the newspaper wrote.

The Post believes the move would be “risky” but could bear fruit for Walgreens with a Republican-led FTC not likely to block the $9.7 billion deal. Only two commissioners are sitting on the five-member FTC panel, Republican Maureen Olhausen and Democrat Terrell McSweeny. In this case, the two commissioners would need to both vote to block the deal, something not expected to happen, sources told The Post.

The Walgreens-Rite Aid proposed merger was first announced in Oct. 2015. If the deal goes through, Fred’s Pharmacy would buy at least 865 divested Rite Aid stores.
