Back by popular ‘dewmand,’ Mountain Dew’s limited-edition flavors return
PURCHASE, N.Y. — Mountain Dew has relaunched three classic flavors nationwide.
For those consumers that love to "do the Dew," Mountain Dew Pitch Black, Mountain Dew Supernova and Mountain Dew Typhoon will be available for a limited time as part of the brand’s Back by Popular Dewmand campaign.
"Back by Popular Dewmand was created to celebrate our incredible fans by rewarding them with the return of some of their favorite Dew flavors," said Brett O’Brien, Mountain Dew’s senior director of marketing. Hampton Farms’ Hickory SmokeHouse peanuts arrive in stores
SEVERN, N.C. — Hampton Farms is offering fans of in-shell peanuts a new snack.
New Hickory SmokeHouse-flavored in-shell peanuts unite the taste of dry roasted peanuts with a "straight from the smokehouse" taste, the company said.
Available in 10-oz. packages, Hickory SmokeHouse peanuts will be available at such supermarkets as Food Lion, Giant, Kroger, Publix, Ralphs, Stop & Shop and Wegmans for a suggested retail price of $1.99.
Lilly executive joins Chiquita’s board
CINCINNATI — An Eli Lilly executive was elected to Chiquita’s board of directors at the company’s annual shareholders meeting.
Chiquita said that Jeffrey Simmons, who serves as Lilly SVP and president of the drug maker’s animal health division, Elanco Animal Health, brings more than 20 years of management experience to his new role on the audit committee and the food innovation, safety and technology committee.
"It’s a pleasure to join the board of directors of a global company with such iconic consumer brands," Simmons said. "I believe my experience with branding and food safety at Elanco will have an important role in helping Chiquita achieve its mission and further create shareholder value.
