:10 Minute Manicure opens latest location at Dulles

DULLES, Va. Walk-in salon :10 Minute Manicure has expanded with the recent opening of its newest location at Dulles International Airport.

The Miami-based company operates 11 locations and will be adding new stores at JKF International’s Terminal 3, Miami International’s South Terminal and Cincinnati’s A concourse later this spring.

The concept, initially launched in 2006, was created to meet the needs of women, who make up 48 percent of the traveling population and command an estimated $6.1 billion in spending power. It addition, 30 percent of its airport customers are men.

An express manicure and pedicure is available based on a passenger’s schedule, with services beginning with the company’s signature manicure completed in 10 minutes for $15. A spa length manicure or pedicure service is also available. Prices range from a $5 hand massage to a $45 aromatherapy spa manicure.

Laclede introduces Biotene anti-plaque toothpaste

RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, Calif. Laclede, the makers of Biotene for dry mouth, has introduced Biotene PBF Plaque-Biofilm dissolving Toothpaste.

Plaque is a biofilm created by bacteria to hide within. If not controlled, plaque can lead to hard to remove tartar, excessive bacterial growth, tooth decay, gum disease and bad breath.

Biotene PBF’s dissolves excessive plaque-biofilm, freshens breath longer and brings out the natural whiteness in teeth, according to the company. The toothpaste also contains Biotene’s LP3 salivary enzyme system to strengthen the natural antibacterial system found in saliva.

Biotene PBF Toothpaste, is sweetened with Xyitol to fight cavities and does not include any Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Biotene PBF Toothpaste is for anyone with excessive tartar, dry mouth or oral irritations.

Surya Brasil introduces organic hand sanitizer

NEW YORK Surya Brasil, a maker of organic and natural cosmetics, has introduced its new organic Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer.

The formula is made with plant ingredients from Brazil including aloe for its soothing and healing properties; Jua, a cleansing and refreshing fruit; and Acai, a moisturizer and antioxidant rich protein, omega-9 fatty acid and vitamin E.

The Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer is certified organic through Eco Cert and is cruelty-free. It promises to kill 99.99 percent of germs on hands and no rinsing is required. It does not contain mineral oil, parabens, petrochemicals, carbomer, synthetic fragrance or artificial coloring.

The pocket size tube has a suggested retail price of $4.99. The desktop bottle has a suggested retail price of $14.99. Twelve tube displays are available for merchandising in stores.
